From Bali to Komodo - The crossing of the five islands (private trip)
Our motorcycle trip starts on the green island of Bali, known as "the island of the Gods". Bali draws travellers with its mixed landscapes and its culture. Riding it by motorcycle is a practical way to move through the island and reach places that are harder to see by car. From Bali we take a ferry to neighbouring Lombok, then on to little-known Sumbawa, on good roads through country that is still sparsely built. The trip ends in Komodo National Park after a private boat outing to see the Komodo dragon and swim in clear water over coral. From Flores we take a domestic flight back to Bali.
About 1400 km, around 95% on tarmac.
Day 1: Arrival of your international flight in Bali, Denpasar. From Denpasar airport we transfer you to Ubud, through rice terraces and tropical vegetation. Ubud, in the centre of Bali, is known for its art scene and its temples. Hidden temples and shrines sit around Ubud. Galleries, workshops and cultural shows are easy to find. Night in Ubud.
Day 2 We ride around Ubud (4h30). First contact with our motorcycles and the support team. We ride around Ubud through jungle and tropical plants. Road along the lava slopes of an extinct volcano. Night in Ubud.
Day 3 Ubud - ferry to Lombok - night in Kuta (4h). Early start to board the ferry to Lombok, crossing the water between the islands as Bali's mountains recede. Once in Lombok, the rocky coast and palms welcome us in Kuta. Those who want to can surf. Night in Kuta.
Day 4 From Kuta we ride to Klui beach (4h) We leave for Klui beach, on the north of Lombok. Mandatory stop on the way at the Mandalika motorcycle circuit. We arrive in the afternoon and settle into our hotel facing the sea. Afternoon on the beach, watching the sunset. Night in Klui.
Day 5 Klui - east Lombok (5 hours). Early start, leaving Klui beach and riding inland. Our route takes us towards Mount Rinjani, an active volcano that dominates the island. Lunch stop after seeing Sendang Gile waterfall, where water falls from the rainforest. We continue around Mount Rinjani on winding roads through tropical forest and valleys. In the afternoon we arrive at Kayangan port. Night in Kayangan.
Day 7 South Sumbawa - around Mojo. (4 hours) Today is probably the most striking road of the trip. About 100 km of bends through tropical forest on a quiet road. We arrive for lunch at our resort opposite Mojo island. Night around Mojo.
Day 8 Boat around Mojo island and swim with the whale shark. Day without motorcycle. Early start for a boat outing to swim with whale sharks in open water. We leave at dawn towards their habitat. After that we return to the resort for the rest of the day, to look around Mojo island or stay by the hotel pool. Night around Mojo.
Day 9 Mojo - Bima (6h30). Today is the longest motorcycle stage. We ride to Bima through tropical vegetation and plantations. The day alternates along the coast and inland on Sumbawa. Night in Bima.
Day 11 Local flight Flores - Bali. Flight back to Bali over mountains and coastline. Transfer to our hotel in Kuta and a night in Kuta. Night in Bali, Kuta.
Day 12. Departure of international flights Transfer from the hotel to the airport according to your flight times. End of our services.

The price does not include:
- Visa for Indonesia.

- Personal expenses such as laundry, souvenirs, alcoholic drinks or tickets to unnamed monuments.
- Tips for tour staff or hotel and restaurant staff.
- Dinners and meals.
- Transport on days without a motorcycle.
- Travel assistance insurance. Mandatory (2)*
- 500 € deposit for the motorcycle hire. The deposit is returned in full at the end of the trip if the motorcycle has no damage.
Climate and clothing during the trip
The average temperature in Bali and on the islands we visit is 26°/28°, with highs of 31°. The weather is dry and sunny and suits swimming. We should have sunny, mild days and little rain. Bring high sun protection, sunglasses and gloves.
Motorcycle gear: Helmet (a modular model if possible), jacket, gloves, summer boots. Motorcycle rain gear (it is not the rainy season, though an afternoon storm is possible).
1*- Registrations are taken in strict order of booking date. If you book at the last minute, you may have to take a single room if there is no one else to share a twin. The earlier you book, the more chance you have of a twin room.
2*- It is mandatory to take out travel assistance insurance that covers motorcycle use. If you do not already have one with your credit card or your car or motorcycle insurance. This type of insurance covers medical costs abroad and repatriation by plane in case of illness or accident.
