Riding Sri Lanka by motorcycle has what you want from a good bike holiday. Coastal roads facing clear-water beaches, stretches that run over the sea, mountain passes through tea plantations, well-kept tarmac, national parks and a dense culture. For us it is the jewel of Asia.
Sri Lanka is an island south of India, in the Laccadive Sea. The tropical forests, beaches and tea-country hills of Sri Lanka make it a well-known destination. It is a good country to ride, with a dense cultural heritage and a colonial past.

We ride the country in a loop on the most interesting roads. Coastal stretches with beaches and fishing villages. Roads and bridges over the sea that link different islands and give a ride you do not get elsewhere. We climb mountain roads to the highest points on the island, with views over the tea fields known worldwide. We visit the old ruins of Anuradhapura or Sigiriya and Yala National Park, with large numbers of wild elephants, crocodiles, leopards and many other species. The route uses quiet roads, most of them in good condition and very enjoyable on a motorcycle.
